New Music Choral Ensemble


Dr. Brown is founding a choral ensemble whose repertoire will be new music. Concerts beginning in 2012 are anticipated. Board members are currently being sought, and auditions for singers will begin in early 2012.

Mile High Young Men's Chorus

Dr. Brown is founding a choral ensemble for young men, teenagers with changed voices in approximately grades 8-12. This ensemble is expected to begin in February 2012.

Conducting Experience


Dr. Brown has many years of experience as a conductor, having taught public school students since 1987. Most recently, as the music director for Cabaret Otaku, he directed Kurt Weill's Mahagonny Songspiel and Hugo Distler's Totentanz. He was also a church musician for many years, having served congregations in Binghamton, New York, and in Lakewood and Boulder, Colorado. In addition to doctoral studies in music theory and composition, he studied both choral and orchestral conducting at the University of Northern Colorado with Howard Skinner and David Mackenzie.

Dr. Brown has participated in workshops of The Conductors Guild.
